snow...it's a bitch but so beautiful....kinda like me
get ready for long story. short version: snowing, me crying, not driving on ice very well, and almost dying.
Long version:
First off, the whole day yesterday i was wearing flip flops because i didn't have time to put real shoes on and i was out all day. i went to church and everything was fine. no snow, not terribly cold, etc. then i had to go to a meeting after church. we were in Lance's office and looking outside, it had started to snow. we didn't get out of the office until after 9. by then there were already 2 or 3 inches of snow. it took me about 5 minutes just to pull out of the parking lot. then i was driving on cirque which was a freaking nightmare. there were lines of cars between alameda and bridgeport. and my crying starts. i ended up turning around because there was no way i was going to get up the hill. so went to the gas station on cirque and orchard. filled up my gas tank. my phone was dead so i went inside and got change for a dollar so i could use a pay phone. i am an idiot and don't know how to work pay phones and lost my money. more crying. walked into the gas station, asked if i could use their phone and called my mom. had to pee like a racehorse (or pregnant mother lepoard with cubs) but the gas station did not have a bathroom (who does that?). My mom and step dad said they were on their way. an hour later, no parents. I went inside the gas station and as i was walking up, they lady that was working there said that my mom had called about 3 times. i called them back and they said it was taking them forever to get down cirque because of numerous cars not able to get up the hills. i went back to my car and then i decided that maybe i would try to put my chains on my tires. oops, wearing flip flops in the snow is not good. and not having gloves. gave up, threw the chains in my car, locked myself in my car and cried till my parents got there. i walked over to them, in the process, fell twice, cried more and realized that if i didn't get warm soon, my toes were going to turn black and fall off. left my car at the gas station, drove home, and the whole process took around 2 hours. by the end of the night, i was exhausted, cold, crying, and wishing i had a boyfriend to comfort me. then i watched the top 100 country love songs of all time. and cried a little bit more.
today, my car is safe and sound parked at my parents apartment. i am safe and warm in my parents apartment. i am not crying. and a boy called me today. it's all good.
